This axle is super lightweight at only 200 grams, (7ozs). This is a great upgrade and works together with our titanium front and rear titanium axle nuts.
We color our titanium black using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), which is an industrial vacuum process. Unlike electrochemical anodizing (which cannot produce a true black), PVD creates a deep, durable black coating by evaporating solid metals and bonding them to the titanium via a high-energy plasma reaction. The PVD Blackening process method for depositing a true black, scratch-resistant finish creates a hard ceramic coat.
